5 years of sex work – deceased at home

Posted on 01.31.19 by Ron van Zeeland

Update January 31: At the age of eighteen, R.P.went to Thailand and worked as a sex worker for five years. Now he is 23 and went home sick: AIDS & TB. Our help was of no avail, R.P. is deceased.

He never tested for HIV and only when he came home sick he turned out to be HIV positive. His CD4 count was so low that he had to be admitted to hospital. In addition to HIV, he was also infected with TB.

Yesterday we received the sad news that he is deceased and we have made funds available for his funeral.
