AIDS: unnecessary, but still very ill

O. – a trans woman living with HIV – went to Sihanoukville for her relationship and to find work. Because of this she wanted to hide her HIV status and stopped taking HIV inhibitors.

With € 125 ($ 150) we pay food and medical costs. Your donation helps!

AIDS in Cambodia

O. was found in a ruin in Sihanoukville. Skinny and sick after not taking HIV inhibitors for at least a year. From her official hometown Bantey mean Cheay she had left for Sihanoukville.

She worked as a make-up artist by day and as a sex worker at night. In Bantey Mean Cheay she had access to free HIV inhibitors. She sought anonymity in the city.

This week Untenu received her emergency response request. We have pushed for a resumption of the use of its HIV drugs. She is now back in her official place of residence and our partner organization is trying to convince her to start taking her medicines again.
