The first request for relief in the new decade was for a 27-year-old drag queen from Kampong Chhnang who worked in the capital Phnom Penh. He stopped working after he was also infected with tuberculosis (TB).
This week we helped a 42-year-old tuktuk driver who needed urgently hospitalization because he was seriously ill with TB.

In April we provided – together with our local partner Bandanh Chaktomok – four times emergency aid: twice to a gay man living with HIV, twice to trans women living with HIV. We are currently looking for an internship for the young man.

Update January 31: At the age of eighteen, R.P.went to Thailand and worked as a sex worker for five years. Now he is 23 and went home sick: AIDS & TB. Our help was of no avail, R.P. is deceased.
