This week we helped a 45-year-old dance teacher who not only is HIV positive, but also needed hepatitis treatment urgently.
The man was a teacher at a renowned cultural institute in Phnom Penh. Since he became ill and unable to work, he has been supported by students with food.
Since hepatitis has to be treated, a solution has been sought together with our partner Bandanh Chaktomok. Another donor guarantees the treatment of hepatitis and Untenu Foundation pays the rent of his room, transport and other medical costs. He also receives food aid from us.
This resumes the granting of emergency aid by Untenu. After a forced break of a few months, a little bit of money is available to help a few more people this year. Less money is available for 2020 than in the past year. With your financial contribution we can help LGBT people with HIV who live in poverty in Cambodia.
