Thanks to recent fundraising campaigns, the Untenu Foundation has managed to raise enough money to start a make-up training course for underprivileged LGBTI people with HIV in Battambang, Cambodia. The course will start during the Cambodian rainy season.
One day before Rotterdam Pride, Untenu received two help requests from Kampong Chhnang. There was found a single gay man who could not take care for his foster daughter because he was too weak. The second emergency request that we received last Friday concerned a 47 year old gay man in Kampong Chhnang. We have not supported someone in this province before.
With the signatures of Yasethadavuth Davuth (l), vice chairman of Bandanh Chaktomok, and of Ron van Zeeland (r), chairman of Untenu Foundation, the Memorandum of Agreement is a fact. Both parties formalized their relationship for six months and intend to extend this for the rest of 2017 and 2018. Bandanh Chaktomok is now the official partner organization to work with Untenu on emergency aid for LGBTI’s living with HIV under poor conditions in Cambodia.
