At a meeting yesterday in Rotterdam has decided that Untenu continues as a foundation. This way we believe we have the best chance to decisively raise funds and to achieve our goals.

There is a lot of thought whether Untenu would be accommodated as a project with an existing entity. Discussions on this matter were positive and we are grateful that our project was welcome at Stichting AIDS Care.

All things considered, we decided to continue as an independent foundation. Candidate board members stand ready, as well as a Supervisory Council. Now it’s time to put procedures in place in order achieve the establishing of the foundation.

Strategic Plan

During the meeting also discussed the draft Strategic Plan and adopted with some comments and additions. The Strategic Plan four goals are proposed: Emergency relief, Education, Work Experience and Strengthening leadership skills of LGBTs in Cambodia.

CamAsean

This week Ron van Zeeland has been approached to serve on the Board of Directors of CamASEAN. CamASEAN is the partner organization of Untenu in Cambodia, the organization is going to register this summer as official NGO with the Royal Government of Cambodia.

This way the links between the two organizations will be strengthening.
