Thanks to recent fundraising campaigns, the Untenu Foundation has managed to raise enough money to start a make-up training course for underprivileged LGBTI people with HIV in Battambang, Cambodia. The course will start during the Cambodian rainy season.
Perspective for LGBTI people with HIV
The past few months were tough for many people in Cambodia. Many lost their jobs because Cambodia had gone into lockdown due to corona.
More people turned to emergency aid, but the bottom of the barrel was also in sight at Untenu. Enough money has now been raised (Partly due to fundraising campaigns) to provide at least 10 people with training to become a make-up artist. When the wedding season starts again in Cambodia in the spring, they will be able to provide for themselves.
Emergency aid also remains necessary
In addition to offering perspective, emergency aid is also badly needed. Unfortunately, we have not been able to help a number of times in recent months.
